Prepare both narrative content and graphical-action storyboards. Deliver training courses at FAA sites on ERIDS adaptation, software administration, and hardware maintenance in Windows and UNIX environments.  Analyze what is required to perform FAA jobs and create task and skills analysis (TASA) documentation.  Write White Papers, Training Development Plans (TDPs), and Course Design Guides (CDGs) to define instructional approaches and training-program structure. Technical Writer, Consulting Assignment, Jul 2004-Sep 2005
For freelance assignment with Ingersoll-Rand, created manuals for an industrial fastening controller and the PC software application used to program and monitor controllers. Developed in FrameMaker, the manuals included descriptions and step-by-step procedures for hardware and software operations, with screenshots for controls, diagnostics, and statistics. Used Visio and PhotoShop to create the manuals' graphics.

Business Analyst, Consulting Assignment, Apr-Aug 2004
On assignment to the Delaware Department of State, Government Information Center (GIC), analyzed business requirements and developed a detailed requirements document for a One Stop Business Registration and Licensing, web application. Application will allow business users to complete all necessary information for registration and licensing of a business in Delaware by answering interview-style questions on a browser-based application. Project included four different agencies of the State.

On assignment from Versalign to the Delaware Department of Technology and Information (DTI), created a user guide for a customized version of the Peregrine Change Management module to be used for all change requests affecting DTI assets. In addition, rewrote, reorganized, and formatted DTI Change Control Management Policy and Procedures.

Technical Writer/Instructional Designer, Consulting Assignment, Dec 2002-Nov 2003
On assignment with The Multitech Group, worked on Transportation Security Administration (TSA) contracts for clients Boeing and Siemens. Analyzed OEM source documentation, visited OEM sites, and developed training courses in for TSA-contracted maintenance personnel, covering hardware and software for Explosive Detection and X-ray systems. Designed courses in PowerPoint and MS Word that included instructors' guides, student handbooks, and examinations. For another client, Crisplant, developed maintenance manuals and test plans for automatic materials handling and sorting systems.

On assignment with D-Scape Interactive, created on-line training courses used by an automotive part and service chain, auto companies, and electronics firms. Developed both content and graphic action storyboards for multi-module courseware programs. The CBT training applications were designed to include animated characters and humor to add visual interest and improve learning. The courses were developed for the following companies: Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, Pep Boys, Levolor, and Siemens. The focus ranged from new customers, to sales personnel, to service technicians.
